Objects once saved and perhaps even forgotten, are rediscovered for a new purpose than what was origionally intended.  Their history is on their surface, and in their dents and patinas.  The time-worn scars of life give a brief glimse into their history and expose more questions than answers.  they are a recognition of the determentation, toil and creativity for survival.  The space surrounding the subject is an intergral part of the whole.  Strong light and shadow as well as textures are used to express the strength of spirit and dedication to labour and life.
